The clients who purchased this home immediately recognised that the design was not ideal for their lifestyle. Houses of this era gave little thought to living areas and open-plan design – and these clients knew they needed a space to not only live in and feel comfortable in, but also allow for their social lifestyle.
Our renovation kept the DNA of the original building while bringing it up to modern standards. For example, we worked to change the internal design to include an open-plan internal area that led to outdoor lifestyle areas, purpose-built for entertaining. A fun inclusion was an outside bath space, as there was no place for one internally.
In addition to the renovation, a sunroom extension was added – designed with a great view, cozy reading areas, and plenty of sunlight. A specific lighting plan was designed to provide these clients with a relaxing, warm and well-lit space.
