Our story

Headed by Director Phil Turner, the story of Turner Plus has been a journey of learning and evolution.

Phil previously operated a successful building business in Queensland, however the company saw some tough times during the Global Financial Crisis in 2008. Learning some difficult lessons from the ordeal, Phil moved to Tasmania with his family in 2010 for a fresh start. Falling in love with the rural town of Sheffield, he decided to make it his new home, and it was here that Turner Trading began.

Phil’s high-quality work and exacting standards quickly gained clients, and the company expanded, moving to Devonport in 2018. After taking on several notable, high-end projects in the area, Turner Trading consolidated its reputation for excellence.

Throughout his career, Phil’s passion for building was not only passed onto his co-workers but also to his family. From a young age, Aidan and Jordanne joined their Dad, Phil, on worksites across Queensland. Nowadays, Phil’s children join him as colleagues – and as the next generation of the business.
Now known as Turner Plus, we deliver a range of construction projects along Tasmania’s North West Coast, applying our expertise and attention to detail to each and every build.
